The two named upcoming animals currently supported by official Ecos material are Orcutt’s Coyote and Harington’s Pony. The official fauna page lists both names and displays a notice that new playable animals are coming soon. Community material discusses a June 29, 2026 development update and later test footage, but a public unlock method and live release are not confirmed here.
This page uses a strict status ladder so a test clip does not become a false release guide. It will not predict dates, prices, badges, diets, group limits, coats, or abilities that Ecos Team has not released.

Announced / upcomingThe established public description still names Dire Wolf, Saber-tooth Cat, Ancient Bison, Western Horse, and Columbian Mammoth. Until the live selector or a dated release statement adds Coyote or Pony, the five-animal list remains the safe current roster.
Announcement is not release
An official name proves the developer is presenting an animal. A “coming soon” notice proves intent, not a date. Testing footage proves that a development build exists, not that normal public servers offer the animal. A public release is established when Ecos Team announces it or a normal player can select it in the live experience.
Unlock status is another separate step. An animal can be live and free, live behind a badge, live behind a quest, temporarily available, or limited to a test group. Never invent a badge from the pattern used by Saber, Bison, and Mammoth.
When a source says “new playable,” check whether it refers to a roadmap, private test, creator preview, museum build, or the main Place 12550651382. Similar-looking Roblox places can have different rosters.
How to verify Coyote
Start at the official Roblox description and public selection screen. Look for Orcutt’s Coyote by that exact official name. If it appears locked, read the live lock text before searching elsewhere. Then check the public badge list for Universe 4408288935 and a dated Ecos Team announcement.
If community clips show coyote movement or coats, use them only to understand testing status. Do not copy an unconfirmed ability, diet, or release date into a live guide. A player prediction about an omnivore role or future bear unlock is speculation, even if it sounds plausible.
Once public access is proven, a useful guide will document where the animal appears in the selector, free or locked status, exact official condition, current Bio stats, controls, diet, group rules, and checked date.
How to verify Pony
Use the same sequence for Harington’s Pony. The name on the fauna page is official, but it should not be merged with Western Horse. A pony can have a different ecological and gameplay role, and no current source justifies copying horse attacks, migration rules, coats, or unlock requirements onto it.
Confirm the exact selector name and whether the animal is on public servers. Read any lock or quest wording. Check for a badge or official post. Only then compare its live Bio stats and controls with Western Horse.
Do not treat a model, animation, or testing coat as a complete gameplay kit. Development footage can change before release.
Evidence ladder for any future animal
- Officially named: appears on a creator-owned site, Roblox page, or announcement.
- Announced playable: developer language explicitly says players will control it.
- Testing: visible in a test build or clearly labeled preview.
- Live: selectable on the public main experience.
- Access verified: free, badge, quest, game pass, event, or another method is reproducible.
- Mechanics verified: Bio stats, controls, diet, group rules, and actions are checked in the live build.
Every row needs a date. A live animal can later be disabled, reworked, or moved behind a condition. A testing animal can return to development.
Claims to ignore until supported
Ignore exact release countdowns without a developer post. Ignore “leaked” prices or game passes without a matching Roblox product. Ignore guessed quests modeled after Peccary, marking, or fossils. Ignore complete coat galleries copied from test footage. Ignore ability lists that simply scale down wolf or horse mechanics. Ignore claims that any unannounced animal is “next” because players requested it.
Community wish lists are useful feedback, not roadmap evidence. The official fauna page also lists NPC species; that does not turn every NPC into an upcoming playable.
What to do while waiting
Learn the roles that are live now. Dire Wolf teaches pursuit, Western Horse teaches migration, Saber teaches ambush, Bison teaches herd defense and jousting, and Mammoth teaches environmental interaction. Save Tracks only if the live shop or an official announcement confirms a future use; do not hoard based on a predicted Coyote or Pony price.
Check the Updates hub after a named Roblox update. Return to the Animal Index for the verified current roster. If a new public release occurs, those pages should change together so the roster, navigation, and access status do not conflict.
Frequently asked questions
Are Coyote and Pony in testing?
Current community material reports testing footage, while the official fauna page establishes their names and upcoming positioning. Testing status does not establish public access.
Do they have unlock quests?
No verified public unlock method was found for this check. Do not follow predicted quests unless the live selector, badge list, or Ecos Team states them.
When will they release?
No verified date is published here. “Coming soon” should not be converted into a calendar estimate.
